  • Assisted in the preparation of materials for the CNC as well as sanding, shaping, and finishing of products

  • Gained experience in ceramic slip casting and was involved in each step of the process, including  mold making, slip mixing, slip casting, cleanup, and  firing

  • Assisted Peter Dean and Yuri Kobayashi in teaching first semester sophomores in the use of hand tools and limited machinery to create a stool and a table out of domestic hardwoods.

Woodworking

  • Seven years of professional experience in a variety of work environments ranging from small shops to industrial operations

  • Highly proficient in use of standard shop machinery (Table saw, Router, Jointer, Planer, Lathe, etc.)

  • Extensive experience in fabrication based on technical drawings and verbal direction

Metalworking

  • Knowledge of various bending and forming tools (Diacro, ring roller, oxyaceteline torch, forging etc.)

  • Experience in welding and grinding steel and bronze sheet metal, rod, and tubing

Drafting

  • Working knowledge of Rhinoceros and MasterCam

  • Extensive experience in hand drafting techniques and use of computer drafting programs (AutoCAD)
